Whakatōhea Maori Trust Board

Whakatōhea is a coastal lwi located in the Eastern Bay of Plenty of Aotearoa/New Zealand. The Whakatōhea Māori Trust Board was established in 1952 to administer the lwi (Nation) assets for the benefit of its members.

• Whakatōhea works with Te Kotahi Research Institute, Mahi Maioro Professionals and Balance Co-Lab to share learnings and teachings from their application of the mauri model. This work advances the sustainability and self-determination of the Tangata Whenua (Māori) in Aotearoa (NZ) and Indigenous Peoples from around the world.
